of distributors and sales offices covering more than 160 countries.What You Will See on the Tour Founded in Cleveland in 1895, Lincoln Electric is in its 115th year of business. Tours will be conducted in the 500,000 square foot Consumables Division Plant located in Mentor, Ohio. Visitors will see the production of multiple coiled wire welding consumables. Lincoln has a history of continuous improvements in our production processes and continued enhancements to our quality systems. The tour members will see our wire drawing production from the receipt and testing of raw materials, to the packaging of the finished products. The tour will include a review of our consignment inventories and their tracking to the wire drawing lines. A review of the coiled wire rewind cells and the associated packaging systems will also be included as examples of processing productivity improvements made in this plant. A discussion of our comprehensive QA system will be included along with a review of our long standing and widely studied Incentive Management Program.
