About The Plant

Miller Brewing Co.'s Milwaukee brewery is the company's oldest with many buildings dating back to the 19th century. It is one of Miller's six major breweries across the country consisting of 76 buildings on 82 acres. 8.8 million barrels (272.8 million gallons) of beer are produced annually by approximately 750 employees (including salaried). The Milwaukee brewery's shipping region consists of 10 states and 120 beer distributors.

Continuous Improvement in Action

Attendees will witness their manufacturing processes highlighted by their improvement methods, Efficiency Improvement Tool and World Class Manufacturing, on a tour of their brewhouse, bottle line, palletizers and finished goods warehouse. And, of course, a sampling of their finished goods will be offered (must be 21 years or older).

Please Note:
  • Appropriate dress code: Individuals cannot wear open-toed, high-heeled, sandals, tennis/ athletic shoes on the plant floor. Please wear flat, hard-soled enclosed shoes with leather uppers. Safety regulations also require that all visitors on a hard-hat tour wear long pants. If you arrive not wearing the proper shoes and clothing, we cannot take you on to the plant floor. (No exceptions) Purses and handbags are not permitted on the plant floor.
  • Must be 18 years or older to attend.
  • PRECLUSION STATEMENT: IW may be required to preclude attendees from taking part in certain plant tours. This step will be taken solely by IW at the request of our host plant based upon the proprietary nature of information that is to be presented. The host plants' decisions are final and will be communicated to attendees in advance. Some participants on the tour may be asked to complete a Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
