About The Plant

Swagelok Company is a $1.3 billion, privately-held company. Our manufacturing, research, technical support, and distribution facilities support a global network of more than 200 authorized sales and service centers in 57 countries.

What You Will See on the Tour

Those participating in the Swagelok tour will experience and gain insight on the use and deployment of Lean Daily Management System, Lean Supply Chain (a deep dive into the value stream of a product family), Foundational Lean (applications of CEDAC, 5-S, Tool set-up reduction, standard work, and Cell design), and Assembly Design (use of technology, poka yoke, visual feedback, and guided stage gates).

The tour will include a visit to two Swagelok facilities. First, attendees will walk through the 250,000 sq ft. Swagelok Solon plant that also serves as corporate headquarters. Built in 1965, this plant houses the majority of Swagelok Fitting machining and assembly. After a short tunnel walk, you will arrive to the Swagelok Order Fulfillment Center, which opened in 2006. Spanning 350,000 sq. ft., here you will see valve assembly operations, warehousing, and distribution.
